Hi, I’m Scott Marshall from Bakersfield, California! As a former athlete turned sports photographer I use my love and knowledge for sports to create images that encompass all the feelings and action that sports have to offer.
I started photographing during the 2020 Covid pandemic as a way to get outside when the world was shut down. A great friend of mine asked me to photograph his baseball team senior night and the second I stepped back on a baseball field for the first time since high school, I knew that sports photography wasn’t just a favor for a friend but a career that I wanted to pursue and would stop at nothing to make happen. Since that faithful day, I have worked photographing whatever sports no matter how big or small I could get access to and through all my hard work and dedication I currently act as a contributor for KLC Fotos, Sacramento Rivercats, and UC Davis and was previously the head photographer of NAIA Jessup University .
I can’t thank Jean Fruth, Brad Mangin, and Steve Fine enough as for all their advice and insight that has made me the photographer that I am today and I am forever grateful for them. Thank you for taking the time to read my story!
Sincerely,
-Scott Marshall
